Rome walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Newell lands a jab.
Rome misses with a hook
letting Newell counter with a right hand.
Newell lands a jab to Rome's midsection.
Good exchange - Newell coming out on top.
Rome throws a body punch but Newell moves out of range.
Rome misses with a left hand
and Newell counters with a straight right hand.
Newell avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Newell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Newell. That snapped Rome's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Newell tests Rome's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rome takes a swing at Newell's ribcage but misses.
Rome pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Newell throws a shot to the body.
Rome throws a jab when Newell was well out of range.
Rome's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Newell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rome scrambles back to his feet.
Rome fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Newell manages to avoid it.
Newell scores with a jab to the body.
Newell drops Rome with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Rome! Newell dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
