Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Assan Karim Chorr (ranked 4770 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Wyderko (ranked 4782 p4p, 0 weight class). Assan Karim Chorr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Assan Karim Chorr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Justin Wyderko!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyderko throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chorr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wyderko manages to avoid it.

Wyderko moves into the clinch.
Chorr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wyderko smiles and moves away.
Chorr is looking to clinch.
Chorr cracks Wyderko with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chorr throws a head kick but Wyderko moves out of range.
Wyderko throws a leg kick that misses.
Wyderko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chorr's waist but Chorr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wyderko off to one side.
Chorr tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wyderko manages to circle out of the way.
Chorr lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chorr darts in and clinches Wyderko up against the cage.
Chorr wants a takedown but no success here.
Chorr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wyderko just stands there and leans against the cage.

Chorr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wyderko uses from the top position.

Wyderko tries to free his leg and advance position but Chorr is retaining full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chorr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wyderko as he jumps to the side.
Chorr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wyderko avoids it really well and circles away.
Chorr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wyderko's waist but Wyderko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chorr off to one side.
Wyderko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wyderko wants it to stay on the feet.

Chorr fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chorr tries to clinch but Wyderko moves out of range.
Wyderko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chorr defends it nicely.
Chorr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wyderko as he jumps to the side.
Wyderko looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chorr slips a jab and a cross from Wyderko.

Wyderko doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Chorr darts in looking for a takedown but Wyderko gets double underhooks and turns Chorr into the cage.

Chorr tries to keep at a distance but Wyderko has taken the fight into the clinch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wyderko is defended easily by Chorr.

Chorr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wyderko to keep the fight standing.

Justin Wyderko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Chorr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wyderko sprawls well. Wyderko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chorr gets slowly back to his feet.
As Chorr backs off Wyderko throws a huge counter combo but Chorr manages to avoid it all.
A head kick misses from Chorr.
Chorr tries to clinch but Wyderko moves out of range.
Wyderko was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Chorr tries for a takedown but Wyderko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chorr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chorr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wyderko as he jumps to the side.

Chorr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wyderko paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Chorr is trying to push Wyderko away but Wyderko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Wyderko ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wyderko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Chorr wants to pass the guard but Wyderko is keeping the position.
Chorr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Wyderko has a closed guard, preventing Chorr from standing up.

Wyderko is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Chorr shoots in looking for a takedown. Wyderko tries to sprawl out of it but Chorr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wyderko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Chorr counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Chorr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That was a close second round but I would say that Assan Karim Chorr will probably get the nod.

It looked like Chorr was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Chorr counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wyderko's knee momentarily.
Chorr tries to close the distance and clinch but Wyderko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Chorr looking to sit in guard and control but Wyderko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chorr is on top in guard.

Chorr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wyderko pulls Chorr in close to prevent any damage.
Wyderko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chorr manages to get himself to full guard.

Chorr is striking from the bottom but Wyderko uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Wyderko wants to get back to his feet.
Chorr desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Chorr is pressing down on Wyderko's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Chorr pulls Wyderko in close to prevent any damage.

Justin Wyderko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wyderko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
