Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Webb (ranked 25285 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Petrovski (ranked 25315 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleksandr Petrovski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petrovski circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Webb enables Petrovski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Webb manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Petrovski dives in for a single leg takedown but Webb sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

As Petrovski tries to get set, Webb tries to push him back and clinch up but Petrovski manages to avoid the attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Petrovski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Petrovski moves into range and clinches up with Webb.
Petrovski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Webb smiles and moves away.
Petrovski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Webb is fending him off so far but Petrovski persists. Nope, Webb circles away and we're back to standing.
Petrovski throws a push kick but Webb slaps the foot to one side.
Petrovski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Webb seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Petrovski lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Webb will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Aleksandr Petrovski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
