Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Cardenas (ranked 4621 p4p, 461 weight class) and Angelo Diek (ranked 4038 p4p, 406 weight class). Cardenas comes into the arena with Tuyo blaring out of the sound system. Joe Cardenas could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Angelo Diek's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Cardenas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Diek!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardenas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diek moves away.
Jab by Diek.
Cardenas misses with a body shot.
Diek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cardenas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cardenas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cardenas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diek was well out of range. Poor timing from Cardenas.
Diek lands with an uppercut that bounces Cardenas off the cage and back into range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Diek darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cardenas lands with a shot to the body.
Diek throws a shot to the body.
Cardenas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Diek with a hook.
Diek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cardenas misses with an uppercut.
Diek fails in his attempt to clinch.
Diek fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cardenas on the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Diek. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Diek.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cardenas swings for the body but Diek moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Diek! But no joy.
Diek connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cardenas's hands.
Cardenas throws a body punch but Diek moves out of range.
Diek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cardenas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cardenas takes a swing at Diek's ribcage but misses.
Diek lands with a hook. Cardenas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Diek tries to clinch there but Cardenas circles away.
Cardenas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cardenas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Diek lands the left hand.
Cardenas lands with a right and another and another! Diek is in big trouble! Cardenas lands again and this time it's lights out for Diek! A quality knockout there for Cardenas.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joe Cardenas!
Joe Cardenas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
