Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Philip Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Brolly!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Morgan misses with a two punch combination.
Brolly changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Morgan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Morgan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brolly's shoulder. That is not cool.

Morgan is trying to get an arm triangle but Brolly is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brolly is letting Morgan control him for a moment.

Morgan decides to stand back up.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brolly napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Brolly wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Morgan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brolly is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Morgan throws an elbow but Brolly slips to the side and avoids it well.

Morgan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brolly has escaped the position, nice work there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brolly can do anything to dispel that myth.
Morgan is staying tight to Brolly's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Morgan stands up and beckons Brolly to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morgan shoots in but Brolly avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And Brolly tries to counter it with a takedown but Morgan pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A chopping leg kick lands by Morgan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Morgan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Morgan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Morgan prevents Brolly from standing back up.

Morgan stands up and beckons Brolly to join him on the feet.
Philip Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morgan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brolly tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Morgan is in Brolly's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Brolly manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morgan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brolly is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Morgan is controlling him well.

Morgan stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Morgan drives through with a takedown into Brolly's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Morgan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Morgan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brolly swivels and escapes.
Brolly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morgan.
Morgan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brolly's calf.

Morgan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brolly scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Morgan manages to mount him!

Morgan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Philip Morgan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Morgan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Morgan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brolly to his feet.
Brolly is breathing heavily.

Morgan rushes Brolly and presses him up against the cage.

Morgan pulls guard successfully.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morgan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brolly's guard.


Morgan stands and steps away. Brolly gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Morgan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brolly sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Brolly is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Morgan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Morgan has taken the fight to the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Morgan throws an elbow but misses.

Morgan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brolly's guard.

Philip Morgan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Morgan gets to his feet. Brolly looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brolly leaves Morgan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Brolly circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brolly tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morgan.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brolly swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Morgan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brolly can do to turn this around?
No luck for Morgan with that takedown attempt.

and Brolly counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Brolly tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Morgan gets back to full guard.
Brolly wants to stand but Morgan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Morgan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brolly defends it easily.
Morgan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brolly wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Philip Morgan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morgan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
