The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Perignon shoots in and bounces Chance off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Chance looking for a sweep. Not yet Chance, not yet.
De Perignon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Chance might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
De Perignon throwing strikes from guard but Chance blocks nicely.
De Perignon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Chance is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
De Perignon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Chance knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Perignon on the ground.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

De Perignon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chance's guard.
