Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skrtic dives in and grabs Wendel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wendel pushes down on Skrtic's head and hops out.
Wendel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wendel stuffs the takedown.
Skrtic doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wendel throws a shot to the body.
Wendel just misses with a punch to the body.
Skrtic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drogovan Skrtic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Wendel counters with a crisp right hand that drops Skrtic! Wendel lets Skrtic back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Wendel knocks out Skrtic with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Wendel before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Wendel picks up the big W with a huge KO!
