Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Rodrigues!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Henry Shaw!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues clinches up with Shaw and pushes him back against the cage.
Rodrigues looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Shaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rodrigues darts in looking for a takedown but Shaw gets double underhooks and turns Rodrigues into the cage.
As Rodrigues backs off Shaw throws a huge counter combo but Rodrigues manages to avoid it all.
Rodrigues is looking to clinch but Shaw is avoiding it.
Shaw unleashes a big counter combination but Rodrigues bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nice sprawl there from Shaw as Rodrigues shoots in.

Rodrigues fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shaw throws a counter combo.
Shaw tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Rodrigues shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shaw pinned against the cage. Shaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Rodrigues. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Despite the aggression on Shaw's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Rodrigues swings away with a body shot that misses
and Shaw counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Paulo Rodrigues has been cut.
