Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Hendrix ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Miller! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hendrix missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hendrix is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller is in trouble now - Hendrix has advanced to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendrix working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hendrix throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Miller because Hendrix loaded up on that one. Hendrix tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hendrix .
Miller tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hendrix controlling from mount. Hendrix is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Miller to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Miller shrugs it off. Miller is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Miller is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hendrix controlling from the full mount. Hendrix unloads with some shots from mount but Miller bucks and avoids them well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hendrix .
Hendrix landing strikes from the mount and Miller is in trouble! Hendrix controlling the position easily from mount. Hendrix raining down hammerfists from mount.
Miller is rocked! Hendrix has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hendrix controlling his opponent. Hendrix is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Miller can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Miller is still in real trouble! Can Hendrix finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hendrix connects with a bit shot that sees Miller covering up! More strikes from Hendrix and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hendrix is our winner by TKO!

Dan Hendrix looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Next thing for me is to get back with my new team at CAPTAIN MMA! And get ready for my contract with DFL! And win the 170lbs belt! '.
