Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Otieno (ranked 6849 p4p, 586 weight class) and Ryan Yoder (ranked 7211 p4p, 603 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Otieno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Yoder! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otieno waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Yoder. A right-left combo lands from Yoder. Otieno tries to keep at a distance but Yoder has taken the fight into the clinch. Yoder blocks a body shot from Otieno. Yoder manages to break the clinch.
Otieno looks to land a right hand but Yoder moved out of range. Yoder moves into the clinch. Otieno is trying to pull guard but Yoder turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Yoder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Otieno lands with a hook. Yoder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Otieno throws a big shot that misses. Yoder throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Otieno on the side of the head. Otieno seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A good leg kick by Yoder. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yoder stalks Otieno and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Otieno's face. Otieno staggers backwards, shaken. Yoder gets a clinch. Otieno is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Yoder to keep the fight standing. Otieno misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoder turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Otieno is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Yoder decides to stand up, so the ref orders Otieno to his feet. No luck for Otieno with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Otieno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Otieno lands a jab to the head.
Yoder scores with a three punch combo!
Yoder throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Otieno misses with an uppercut. Yoder saw that one coming. Yoder lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Some wild striking there from Yoder.

Yoder pushes Otieno up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Otieno pulls guard. Otieno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yoder is aware though and is defending well. Otieno is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Yoder stands and steps away. Otieno gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A nice combination there by Yoder.
A combination from Yoder does no damage. Otieno looks to land a left hand but Yoder moved out of range nicely. Otieno throws the left hand but Yoder avoids the punch easily. Yoder scores with a one two! Otieno had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Yoder!
Yoder tries to move into range but Otieno moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Ryan Yoder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Otieno throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Otieno throws a looping overhand right but Yoder ducks down to avoid it. Yoder lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Otieno dodges the punch combination from Yoder.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoder moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Otieno is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Yoder forces Otieno back against the cage and clinches. Otieno tries to throw a body punch but Yoder avoids it by throwing Otieno back against the cage. Yoder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Otieno tests Yoder's chin there with a solid looking shot. Otieno jabbing away but nothing is landing. Yoder misses with a series of wild punches.
Otieno was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Yoder is working the combinations to good effect here. Otieno lands a really nice looking cross but Yoder seems unphased.
Yoder slips a jab from Otieno. Yoder looks to land a combination but Otieno avoids it well. An attempted straight right counter from Otieno misses the target. Yoder has Otieno up against the cage in a clinch.
Yoder is trying to break the clinch but Otieno is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yoder is trying to force a seperation but Otieno has the dominant position. Otieno misses with the head strike.
Otieno tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Yoder's elbow. Otieno tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Yoder is trying to break free. Yoder has picked Otieno up - he's going for a ride! Yoder dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Otieno is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Otieno works his way to full guard. Good work. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yoder working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Yoder is posturing up here but Otieno has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Yoder tries to roll out but it's too tight and Yoder has to tap! Slick submission there by Otieno!
