The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Nieche.
McCarthy pushes Nieche up against the cage in a clinch.

A punch lands to the side of McCarthy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
McCarthy looks to throw the jab but Nieche is out of range.

McCarthy rushes Nieche and presses him up against the cage.

Nieche comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McCarthy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Nieche feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McCarthy sprawling to the canvas! McCarthy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nieche finish him?!
McCarthy is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nieche fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McCarthy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McCarthy is still on wobbly legs! Can Nieche finish him?
McCarthy looks winded!
Nieche fakes the body blow, causing McCarthy to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! McCarthy goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
