The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holley tries to keep at a distance but Lesnar has taken the fight into the clinch.

Holley's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Holley's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Lesnar has clasped his hands together around Holley's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Holley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Holley is trying to control Lesnar's posture but Lesnar avoids it.
Lesnar lands a decent elbow from side control.
Holley tries to improve position but can't.
Lesnar remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Holley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lesnar haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Holley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Lesnar looks up at the clock and then as Holley takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lesnar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Lesnar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Holley bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Lesnar and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Lesnar!

Mark Lesnar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Mortimer Bob Holley spoke after the fight, saying 'You won, because i havent eaten enough.. im starving! Hi mom!'.
