Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Cardenas (ranked 3240 p4p, 331 weight class) and Anthony Gonzalez (ranked 3824 p4p, 376 weight class). Cardenas's entrance music is I'm in luv with a stripper-by T Pain. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Cardenas misses the target.
Gonzalez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cardenas counters with a nice uppercut.

and Cardenas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Joe Cardenas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Gonzalez.
Cardenas leaves Gonzalez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonzalez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
