Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Brolly!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brolly keeps the fight on the outside.
Brolly changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Mays misses with a takedown attempt - Brolly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A slapping leg kick lands for Mays.

Mays changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brolly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Brolly explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mays tries for a takedown but Brolly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brolly drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mays defends it well.
Mays throws a leg kick that is checked

and Brolly counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mays wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mays looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Brolly wanted to stand there but Mays had control of the position.

Brolly stands up and waves to Mays to follow him.

Mays shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mays was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Brolly bucks up and tries to throw Mays off but instead Mays has got his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brolly is trying to stand back up.
Mays really is a fat lump.

Mays is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brolly is defending well though. Mays let's go of the attempt for now.

Mays is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Brolly wants to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Mays working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Brolly is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mays has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Brolly taps out!
