Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Iron (ranked 5609 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Pless (ranked 5813 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mason Iron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Pless! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pless shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Iron pulls Pless in close to prevent any damage. Pless trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pless preventing the sweep. Pless stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Iron swivels though and keeps the full guard. Iron looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pless trying to control but Iron is working from the bottom. Pless's corner is telling him to maintain position. Iron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iron looking to control but Pless passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iron is looking to improve his position.
Pless trying to control the action but Iron is working from the bottom. Iron knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pless on the ground. Iron tries to get to full guard but Pless has control of the leg. Pless is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Iron is staying active underneath Pless, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pless working over Iron with some ground and pound. Iron looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Iron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Iron is positioning himself well to prevent Pless advancing to mount. Iron looking for submissions off his back. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pless connects with a nice short shot to Iron's temple. Pless controlling the action here. Iron is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pless wants to take a breather but Iron is having none of it. Pless perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Let's hope that Pless has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Iron has Pless up against the cage in a clinch.
Iron is pushing Pless up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Iron lands with a short head shot on the inside. Pless changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Iron fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Iron working some nice short punches in the clinch. Iron lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Pless is trying to break the clinch but Iron has him pressed against the cage. Iron stalling in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Iron creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Iron content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Iron is struggling to control the position. Pless fails to pull guard.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Iron dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pless closes the distance and clinches up with Iron, looking for a takedown. Pless pushes Iron against the cage but Iron circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pless takes a swing at Iron's ribcage but misses. Pless throws out a leg kick but Iron moves out of range and Pless only half commits. Iron works the jab nicely. Rick Pless is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pless shoots in and gets a takedown into Iron's guard. Iron is pulling down on Pless's head. It's preventing any offense from Pless, at least for the moment. Pless trying to control but Iron is working from the bottom. Iron tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Pless will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Iron pushes Pless back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Iron is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pless can do to turn this around? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice body punch from Iron. Iron is working Pless over against the cage. Iron seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mason Iron. Iron throws a one two combo.
It looks like Rick Pless has been cut. Iron lands with a hook. Pless tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Iron instigates a clinch. Iron stalling against the cage.

Pless gets tackled into the cage by Iron. Iron maintains the clinch. Iron lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Iron. Iron stalling.

Pless takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Iron cracks Pless with a nice body shot.

Iron takes the fight into the clinch. Iron presses Pless against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Iron throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Plesss head. Pless being controlled against the cage. Iron lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Iron lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pless tumbles to the floor! Iron threw a big shot that dropped him and now Iron is on top looking to finish! Pless has guard but can he survive?!
Pless is rocked! Iron wants to control from the top but Pless keeps moving. Pless is still in real trouble! Can Iron finish him? Iron content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Iron postures up and lands a big shot to Pless's brow. Iron gets to his feet and stands over Pless, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Pless felt that one! Iron unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Pless from any more punishment!
