Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Starker (ranked 2908 p4p, 115 weight class) and Master Wong (ranked 2789 p4p, 114 weight class). Starker comes to the cage accompanied by Catrin O'Neill - Ar Lan Y Mor. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Starker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Master Wong! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Starker tries to clinch but Wong moves out of range. Wong shoots in for a takedown but Starker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Starker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wong, pushing him back against the cage. Starker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wong's defenses. Starker lands with a light punch inside. Starker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wong's defenses. Starker throws an elbow that misses.
Wong blocks an uppercut.

Starker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Wong has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Starker regains guard immediately. Starker kicks Wong off and gets to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Starker clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Starker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. With the fighters up against the cage, Starker throws an elbow but misses. Wong has Starker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Starker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wong avoids a wild elbow strike from Starker. Wong throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Starker blocks it with crossed arms. Starker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wong's efforts to push away. Starker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wong has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Wong is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Starker is defending well. With the fighters up against the cage, Starker throws an elbow but misses. Wong blocks the elbow strike.

Starker can't fight it off and eventually Wong manages to take the fight to the floor. Starker looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Starker has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Wong wants to control from the top but Starker keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wong connects with a couple of short punches. Starker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wong pushes down on Starker's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wong passes to full mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wong putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Wong goes for an armbar but Starker turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Starker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starker wants to stand but Wong is controlling his posture from full guard. Wong has control of Starker's left arm, preventing Starker from doing any damage. Starker stands and steps away. Wong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wong gets a double leg takedown into Starker's guard. Wong wants to control from the top but Starker keeps moving. Wong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wong wants to control from the top but Starker keeps moving. Wong is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Starker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Starker has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Starker wants to stand but Wong is controlling his posture from full guard. Wong has his hands on Starker's head, controlling the position. Wong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Starker's guard. Wong passes into half guard. Wong missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Starker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wong shoots in looking for a takedown but Starker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wong gets in close and instigates a clinch. Nice elbow from Starker.
It looks like Master Wong has been cut. Starker prevents the takedown attempt.
Wong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Starker after a bit of a struggle. Paul Starker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Wong takes an elbow to the temple. Wong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Starker moves into the clinch successfully.

Starker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Starker misses with an elbow over the top. Starker creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Starker misses with a hook from the clinch. Starker throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Wong has hold of one of Starker's legs. Starker is fighting the takedown attempt but Wong gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Wong postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Starker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wong, into his guard.
Wong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Starker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Starker wants to stand but Wong is controlling his posture from full guard. Starker stands up and waves to Wong to follow him. Starker clinches up against the cage.

Starker lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Wong takes a shot to the head. Wong wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starker has him pressed against the cage. Starker pushes off an throws an elbow but Wong leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Starker has Wong pressed against the cage, preventing Wong from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wong takes an elbow to the forehead. Starker lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wong avoids a wild elbow strike from Starker. Paul Starker has scored more points in the clinch so far. Starker swings wildly with an uppercut but Wong uses good head movement to avoid it. Starker lands a nice elbow. Starker prevents a takedown attempt there.

Starker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wong can do to turn this around? Starker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Wong working for a triangle but Starker defends it easily.

Nice work there by Wong. Master Wong has got the better of the ground game so far. Wong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wong looking to pass the guard. Wong with a nice head shot there. Starker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wong off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wong shoots for a double leg takedown but Starker sprawls well. He's pushed Wong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wong has closed the distance and engaged Starker in a clinch.

Starker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Wong can't get the takedown.

Master Wong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wong lands with a punch from half guard. Wong is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Starker! Wong jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Starker manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wong lands a decent elbow from side control. Wong swings around for an armbar but Starker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wong's guard. Wong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Starker's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wong forces his way into half guard. Wong is trying to control. Starker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Wong scoring with strikes to the body and head. Wong is keen to just control but Starker is a slippery customer. Wong with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Starker is defending against the submission attempts here by Wong.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Starker scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Wong manages to mount him!
Wong cracks Starker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wong breaks from Starker's wrist control and lands an elbow. Starker is in a horrible position here. Wong smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Wong drops a big elbow. That's hurt Starker! More shots from Wong and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Master Wong! Our winner, Master Wong, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Paul Starker spoke after the fight, saying 'I`LL BE BACK@#$%!'.
