Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Lock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Bobeth!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock throws a sloppy head kick
and Bobeth counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bobeth circles away.
Lock tries to move into range but Bobeth moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nice straight punches there by Bobeth. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bobeth.
Lock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bobeth tries to counter with a clinch but Lock shakes him off and moves away.
Bobeth rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lock dives in for a single leg takedown but Bobeth sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Lock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lock moves into the clinch.
Bobeth lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Ryan Lock has been cut.
Lock doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bobeth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bobeth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lock manages to avoid it.
Bobeth has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lock is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Lock shoots in for a takedown but Bobeth shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bobeth lands a glancing blow to the side of Lock's head.

Bobeth clobbers Lock with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lock tries to land a front kick but Bobeth steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Lock doesn't manage to clinch there - Bobeth circles away.

Bobeth thuds a left hand into Lock's body.
Lock tries to clinch there but Bobeth circles away.
As Lock backs off Bobeth throws a huge counter combo but Lock manages to avoid it all.

Bobeth lands with a kick to the temple. Lock shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Lock shoots in but no luck this time.
Lock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bobeth sprawls well. Bobeth wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lock gets slowly back to his feet.
Lock fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bobeth rushes Lock and presses him up against the cage.

Bobeth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bobeth goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Bobeth counters with a head kick that drops Lock to the mat! Lock scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Lock is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Lock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bobeth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lock seems to have got his legs back now.

Lock goes for a double leg but Bobeth avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bobeth continues to drive forward.
Bobeth throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lock.

Bobeth takes the fight into the clinch.
Lock takes a shot to the head.
Bobeth has Lock pressed against the cage, preventing Lock from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bobeth lands a knee to the head.
Bobeth lands a right hand.
Lock jumps guard but Bobeth stands there with Lock around his waist. Lock gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lock has Bobeth pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bobeth manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lock is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lock tries to pull guard but Bobeth forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
