Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artem Irhin!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane misses with a leg kick.
Irhin looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Artem Irhin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Irhin misses the shot to the body.
Irhin connects with a crisp jab.
Crane with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Crane tests Irhin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Crane tries to work over Irhin's front leg with a kick but Irhin checks it.
Crane is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Crane swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Crane steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Irhin.
Irhin misses with a hook. Crane ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Irhin lands a glancing blow to the side of Crane's head.
Crane lands a slapping body shot.
Crane slips under a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Irhin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Irhin misses.
Crane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Irhin moves away.
Irhin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Irhin throws a lazy right hand but Crane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crane fires out a quick counter leg kick but Irhin just manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Irhin. Crane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Crane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Crane, as that shot connected.
The fighters circling - Irhin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Irhin throws a right and a left that Crane avoids nicely.
Irhin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Irhin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Crane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Irhin.
Crane throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Crane takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crane throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crane throws a head kick but Irhin moves out of range.
Irhin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crane was well out of range. Poor timing from Irhin.
Crane fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Irhin checks it well.
Crane throws the kick towards the body but Irhin avoids it.
Irhin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Crane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Crane fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Irhin checks it well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Irhin! But no joy.
Irhin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Crane under the eye.
Irhin blocks a head kick by Crane.
Crane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jab, jab by Irhin - just one landing.
Irhin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Irhin. Crane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Crane throws a sloppy head kick and Irhin moves out of range easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Irhin throws a jab when Crane was well out of range.
Irhin misses with an uppercut.
Crane slips a jab from Irhin.
Danga de danga de dang - Irhin scores with a four punch combination!
Crane throws a leg kick that is checked
and Irhin counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Crane is rocked!
Irhin cracks Crane with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Crane tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Irhin pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Crane is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artem Irhin!
Artem Irhin tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
