Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Donnelly (ranked 1505 p4p, 179 weight class) and Dave Beast (ranked 2230 p4p, 242 weight class). Dave Beast has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dominic Donnelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Beast! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Donnelly. That's going to slow Beast down. Donnelly scores with a kick to the midsection. Donnelly lands a nice leg kick that just misses Beast's sensitive parts. Donnelly throws a sloppy head kick and Beast counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Donnelly tries to roll over but Beast keeps him under control. Beast wants to take a breather but Donnelly is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Donnelly trying to control but Beast postures up.
Donnelly is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beast is nestled in close to Donnelly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Donnelly blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beast. Beast passes to side control. Beast sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Donnelly is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast working away. Beast lands a decent elbow from side control. Donnelly tries to bench press Beast off him but Beast keeps the position. Donnelly takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Donnelly is looking for a sweep. Beast happy to just control the position for now. Beast working away. Beast lands a decent elbow from side control. A lull in the action here. Beast lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Donnelly down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donnelly holding on. Beast grinds an elbow into Donnelly's temple. Beast landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Donnelly is looking for a sweep. Donnelly on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Donnelly taking a bit of punishment here - Beast scoring with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Donnelly defending against the ground and pound. Beast works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Beast grinds an elbow into Donnelly's temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Donnelly is trying to get back to half guard. Donnelly taking punishment in the form of punches.
Beast cracks Donnelly with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Beast immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Donnelly is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Beast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Beast! After winning the bout, Dave Beast thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
