Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Big Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Cods!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cods tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cods throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cods loads up on a big right hand but Black slips the punch.

Cods lands a nice leg kick that just misses Black's sensitive parts.
Black moves out of range of the strikes.

Cods lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Black circles away quickly and effectively.
Cods missing with a left hand there. Black was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Black shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Black misses with some ground and pound and Cods recovers position to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cods holds on and takes a little breather.
Black is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Black has gone for a leg lock! Cods slips out almost immediately though and dives into Black's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cods throws out a loose jab but Black uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cods misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Cods counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cods looks to land a right hand but Black moved out of range.
Black takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cods.
Cods tries to land a front kick but Black steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jack Cods seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Black ducks straight into an uppercut from Cods and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Black maanges to regain guard straight away.

Black is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Black throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cods uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Black's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cods wants to control but Black is keeping him busy.
Cods tries to advance to mount but can't.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cods is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Black will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Cods showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Big Black's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Cods will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Black tries to hold on but Cods pushes him away.

Jack Cods is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Big Black has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Black tries to lock up and control but Cods gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jack Cods comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cods has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
