Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Black Rain (ranked 1654 p4p, 197 weight class) and Hannibal Barca (ranked 1206 p4p, 141 weight class). Rain's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Barca's choice of entrance music: Carthage. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain misses with an uppercut. Barca saw that one coming.
Rain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A jab from Rain does it's job there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barca. Rain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barca uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rain.
Barca takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rain moves away from the strike by Barca.
Black Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rain tries to work over Barca's front leg with a kick but Barca checks it.
It seemed like Barca was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Barca is looking to advance position but Rain won't allow it.

Barca drops an elbow to the side of Rain's head.
Barca is trying to control. Rain wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Black Rain will probably get the nod.

Barca gets caught napping as Rain dives in and scores a takedown. Barca manages to retain guard.
Barca lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rain.

Rain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Barca tries to free his leg and advance position but Rain is retaining full guard.
Rain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
