Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Peoples (ranked 8720 p4p, 0 weight class) and Assan Karim Chorr (ranked 6868 p4p, 0 weight class). Assan Karim Chorr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Peoples! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Assan Karim Chorr! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peoples dives in for a single leg takedown but Chorr sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Chorr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Peoples tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chorr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Peoples somewhat. Chorr is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Chorr throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peoples's head. Peoples moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Peoples is struggling to control the position. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Peoples for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Chorr stalling in the clinch but Peoples improves position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Peoples controlling the action here for a moment.
Peoples wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chorr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chorr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peoples's waist but Peoples gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chorr off to one side. Peoples throws a sloppy head kick and Chorr counters with a lovely shot to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peoples. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Peoples. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chorr is defended easily by Peoples. Chorr wants to clinch up but Peoples keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chorr wants to clinch. Peoples attempts a counter takedown but Chorr avoids it well and moves away. Peoples throws a body shot but no joy. Chorr tests Peoples's chin there with a solid looking shot. Peoples tries for a takedown but Chorr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Chorr tries to clinch but Peoples moves out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Peoples or perhaps it was just good defense by Chorr, which made it look bad. Chorr has a takedown stuffed. As Chorr tries to get set, Peoples tries to push him back and clinch up but Chorr manages to avoid the attempt. Chorr fails with a takedown attempt from distance. No luck for Chorr with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Peoples misses and Chorr counters with a two punch combo. Chorr lands a nice hook to Peoples's body. Peoples takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Chorr shoots for a double leg takedown but Peoples sprawls well. He's pushed Chorr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Chorr fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chorr is looking to clinch but Peoples is avoiding it.

Chorr lunges at Peoples with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Peoples's hand. Peoples moves into the clinch successfully.
Chorr tries to break free but Peoples pushes him back against the cage. Peoples tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chorr just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peoples lands with a light punch inside. Peoples will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Chorr up against the cage. Chorr has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Peoples avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Chorr is trying to push Peoples away but Peoples has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Peoples's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peoples fails to pull guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chorr is working for takedown but Peoples is calmly controlling the position for now. Peoples can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Assan Karim Chorr will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Peoples fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chorr avoids it really well and circles away. Peoples pushes Chorr up against the cage in a clinch. Peoples successfully pulls guard.
Chorr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Peoples lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peoples passes Chorr's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Peoples slows the pace down in half guard. Peoples trying to control the action but Chorr is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peoples frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Chorr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Peoples can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chorr is looking to escape. Chorr tries to hold on but Peoples pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peoples throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Peoples looking for a guillotine from mount but Chorr is having none of it. Chorr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peoples. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peoples trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chorr tries to improve his position but Peoples has taken his back! Peoples has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Chorr tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Peoples pushes Chorr away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
