Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Zuma (ranked 356 p4p, 38 weight class) and Michael Brakeley (ranked 958 p4p, 100 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brakeley's choice of entrance music: Woke up this Morning. Michael Brakeley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monte Zuma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Brakeley! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brakeley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Brakeley on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Zuma connects with a jab. Brakeley misses with a kick to the body.
Brakeley has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Nice uppercut lands for Zuma. That snapped Brakeley's head back.
Zuma throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Brakeley tumbling to the canvas!
Brakeley is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Zuma slips nicely into half guard. Brakeley is still in real trouble! Can Zuma finish him? Zuma is trying to work for a kimura but Brakeley is defending well.
Brakeley seems to have recovered his senses. Brakeley is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Zuma is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brakeley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zuma. Zuma wants to pass to mount but Brakeley is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zuma seems to be working for a kimura but Brakeley defends the submission attempt. Zuma perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Zuma is working for a kimura but Brakeley is defending it quite comfortably.
Zuma wants to work for an arm triangle but Brakeley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zuma is looking for a kimura but Brakeley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zuma to get the leverage. Brakeley wants to get back to his feet. Brakeley is trying to get back to full guard. Zuma is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brakeley is just riding it out for now. Zuma eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Brakeley trying to control here.

Zuma wants to pass to mount but Brakeley is defending the position. We've been hearing good reports from Zuma's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Zuma is keen to just control but Brakeley is a slippery customer. Zuma wants to work for an arm triangle but Brakeley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zuma has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Zuma wants to control the pace but Brakeley is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zuma is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brakeley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brakeley shrugs it off. Brakeley is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Zuma swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brakeley is now in Zuma's guard. A big mistake from Zuma there, giving up the dominant position! Brakeley postures up.
Brakeley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Zuma's guard. Zuma is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zuma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brakeley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Zuma is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Zuma might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Brakeley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Brakeley jabbing away but nothing is landing. Michael Brakeley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zuma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brakeley scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Monte Zuma has been cut. Zuma lunges at Brakeley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brakeley's hand. Brakeley misses with a looping right. Zuma throws an overhand right that lands on Brakeley's shoulder, as Brakeley tries to avoid the shot. Zuma looks to clinch and Brakeley counters with a left right combination that sends Zuma crashing to the mat - Brakeley wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Zuma out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Brakeley! Post fight, Michael Brakeley stared into the camera and said 'I'm not surprised...mother fuckers!'.
