The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big head kick from Nieminen and Gene is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Gene is rocked!
It looks like Mean Gene has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nieminen stands up over Gene, holding on to his feet. Nieminen throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Gene is out cold! Nieminen lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Viljo Nieminen!
