Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between CJ Jones (ranked 4991 p4p, 447 weight class) and Christian Wayne (ranked 4996 p4p, 448 weight class). Wayne has chosen Slipknot-The Devil in I as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christian Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A head kick from Wayne lands but Jones takes it in his stride.
Wayne takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Jones.
Jones throws a big counter combination but Wayne scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Wayne throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Wayne.
Wayne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react.
Wayne throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.

Wayne darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wayne has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Wayne jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break Wayne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
