Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charlie Chaplin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Knack! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knack darts in and clinches Chaplin up against the cage. Chaplin misses with a punch to the body.
Chaplin lands a body shot. Knack is trying to pull guard but Chaplin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Chaplin struggles to land a body shot inside as Knack controls his hands.
Chaplin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Chaplin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A body shot lands from Chaplin.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A battle for position here, against the cage. Knack jumps guard but Chaplin stands there with Knack around his waist. Knack gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Chaplin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Knack goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Chaplin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Chaplin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chaplin tries to get out of the position. Knack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chaplin managing to control the position. Chaplin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chaplin is pulling down on Knack's head. It's preventing any offense from Knack, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knack trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knack stopping the sweep attempt from Chaplin. Chaplin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chaplin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Chaplin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Chaplin passes the guard and advances to mount! Chaplin looking to ground and pound but Knack is blocking nicely. Chaplin misses with a head shot. BOOM! Chaplin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chaplin tries to control but Knack wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Chaplin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chaplin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. A nice elbow there by Chaplin. Chaplin connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Chaplin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Chaplin is landing with some decent strikes but Knack is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Knack is rocked! Knack tries to reverse the position but Chaplin maintains control. Chaplin tries to control but Knack wriggling away. Knack tries to hold on but Chaplin postures up. Chaplin trying to control but Knack is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chaplin lands with some strikes. Chaplin unloads with some shots from mount but Knack bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chaplin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Knack tries to hold on but Chaplin pushes him away. Chaplin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chaplin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Knack is squirming around, avoiding Chaplin's attempts to control the action. Knack wants to control but Chaplin is having none of it. Chaplin has hold of Knack's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Knack manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chaplin looking to control but Knack is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Chaplin dominated that round. That's time! Chaplin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chaplin tests Knack's chin there with a solid looking shot. Knack rushes Chaplin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Chaplin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Knack wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Knack is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Chaplin is working Knack over against the cage. Chaplin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Knack is still on wobbly legs! Can Chaplin finish him? Chaplin stops a takedown attempt from Knack.
Chaplin stalls. Knack seems to have recovered his senses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knack tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Knack is working for takedown but Chaplin is calmly controlling the position for now. Knack is breathing heavily. Chaplin leaning his opponent against the cage. A short right from Chaplin on the inside. Chaplin lands a shot to the body. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Chaplin. Chaplin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Chaplin lands a shoulder strike. Chaplin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Chaplin gets through Knack's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Chaplin throws a big uppercut that drops Knack! More strikes from Chaplin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Knack lies dazed against the cage as Chaplin celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Chaplin! Charlie Chaplin is the new lightweight champion! Charlie Chaplin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
