Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy leaves Kid with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A low kick from Hardy misses
and Kid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hardy's guard.
Kid passes into half guard.
Hardy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kid wants to control but Hardy is keeping him busy.
Kid looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Kid is working for a submission of some sort.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hardy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kid.
Hardy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Kid trying to control from Hardy's half guard. Hardy has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Hardy wants to sweep but no luck.
Kid scoring with punches to the head and body.
Hardy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kid stacks Hardy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kid!
Kid has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hardy is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kid yanks on the arm and Hardy is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kid.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Disco Kid!
