Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herschel Clarke (ranked 25276 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Granger (ranked 5688 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herschel Clarke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Granger! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Granger throws a right and a left that Clarke avoids nicely. Clarke looks to land a combination but Granger avoids it well. Granger misses with a body shot.
George Granger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Granger throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Granger drives through and clinches with Clarke against the cage.
A short right from Granger on the inside. Clarke tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Clarke tries to pull guard but Granger forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herschel Clarke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Granger tries to break the clinch but Clarke is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Granger tries to circle away but Clarke has him pinned against the cage. Granger stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Clarke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Granger walks away with a smile on his face. Clarke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Clarke slips a jab and a cross from Granger.
Clarke is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Granger moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Granger!
