Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Red (ranked 3898 p4p, 178 weight class) and John Duffy (ranked 6125 p4p, 240 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Red! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Duffy! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red has a takedown stuffed. Duffy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jab by Duffy. Duffy cracks Red with a good jab. Red scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Red throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Duffy is trying to get back to his feet. Red is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Duffy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Duffy takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Duffy wants to get back to his feet. Red has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Red is trying to get an arm triangle but Duffy is defending well. Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Duffy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Red working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red controls the position. Red tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Red has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Duffy is not content to let Red control the position. Duffy parries the strikes from Red easily there. Red is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Duffy to escape.
Duffy is not content to let Red control the position. Duffy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Red. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Red has just dragged him back down to the mat. Red working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Duffy being controlled for a moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Red's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Red wants to control but Duffy is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Red is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Duffy's shoulder. That is not cool. Red is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Duffy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Red wants to control but Duffy is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Red dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Red shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duffy as he avoids it easily. Duffy misses with a series of wild punches.
Duffy throws a series of punches but Red avoids them all with ease. Duffy swats away the attempt to clinch by Red. Red closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duffy to the mat! Duffy manages to get full guard. Duffy is looking to stand up but Red isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Red prevents Duffy from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red is looking to work some ground and pound but Duffy has wrist control. Red trying to control but Duffy is working from the bottom. Duffy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Red drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Red jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Red pushes down on Duffy's leg and manages to get into half guard. Red is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Red is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Red is trying to control. Duffy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Red scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Red in particular looking to stall. Red has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Duffy is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy is squirming around, avoiding Red's attempts to control the action. Red sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Red with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Duffy is bucking up trying to escape but Red cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Red is landing with some decent strikes but Duffy is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Red tries to control but Duffy wriggling away. Duffy wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Red has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Duffy taps furiously! This one is all over!
