Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Fredrick (ranked 2719 p4p, 375 weight class) and Soul Jah (ranked 2319 p4p, 329 weight class). Fredrick comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up. Jah has chosen Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier as his entrance music. Soul Jah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Fredrick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Soul Jah! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jah looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Fredrick drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jah sprawls and moves away. Fredrick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jah. Fredrick closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fredrick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jah pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fredrick seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Fredrick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fredrick tries to close the distance and clinch but Jah swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fredrick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jah swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fredrick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fredrick tries a head kick but it misses.
Jah follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Jah displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fredrick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jah lands a jab to the nose. Fredrick lands a jab to the head.
Fredrick fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredrick wants to clinch but Jah slips to the side and Jah counters with a lovely straight right hand! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jah.
Fredrick takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Ronald Fredrick has been cut. Fredrick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Fredrick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fredrick fails with a takedown attempt. Fredrick throws a leg kick that is checked and Jah counters with a crisp one two that drops Fredrick! Jah thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fredrick to his feet! Fredrick is in big trouble! Fredrick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fredrick decides to return to a standing position. Fredrick throws a lazy head kick and Fredrick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fredrick on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fredrick throws a lazy head kick and Jah counters with a crisp one two that drops Fredrick! Jah thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fredrick to his feet! Fredrick is in big trouble!
Fredrick is rocked! Fredrick wants to clinch but Jah slips to the side and Jah counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredrick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And Jah responds with a good body kick, but Fredrick manages to step out the way in time. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jah. Fredrick shrugs it off though. Fredrick misses with the combination.
Jah lands a big right hand that sends Fredrick crashing to the mat! Jah stays standing though and waves Fredrick back to his feet! Oh Fredrick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jah misses with a body kick. Fredrick seems to have got his legs back now. Jah keeps the fight on the outside. Fredrick shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jah sprawls well. Jah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fredrick gets slowly back to his feet. Jah thinks about the counter body kick. Jah throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fredrick stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jah has Fredrick up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fredrick blocks a body shot from Jah. Fredrick jumps guard but Jah turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Knees to the body from Jah.
Jah misses with a knee to the head. Fredrick wants a takedown but no success here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jah takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jah lands a body shot. A nice right hand lands inside from Jah. Jah tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Fredrick is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jah is defending well. Jah crunches a lovely knee into Fredrick's ribcage. Fredrick is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jah gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fredrick fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jah manages to break the clinch.
Jah misses with a head kick.
Fredrick looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fredrick fails with the takedown and Jah counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fredrick is breathing heavily. Jah throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ronald Fredrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jah lands a head shot. Fredrick pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jah swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Fredrick shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fredrick takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Jah counters with a stiff right hand. Jah looks to land a body kick but Fredrick moved away. Jah feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fredrick sprawling to the canvas! Fredrick rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jah finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soul Jah dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ronald Fredrick's cut. That's time! Fredrick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fredrick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jah as he jumps to the side. Jah tries to land a front kick but Fredrick steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jah has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fredrick shoots in for a takedown but Jah shows good takedown defense. Ronald Fredrick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fredrick darts in trying to clinch and Jah counters with a crisp one two that drops Fredrick! Jah thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fredrick to his feet! Fredrick is in big trouble! Fredrick misses with a right hand and Jah counters with an outside leg kick.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Jah enables Fredrick to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jah manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jah wriggles free and stands up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jah lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fredrick shoots for a takedown but Jah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Fredrick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jah throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fredrick on the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jah thuds his right hand into Fredrick's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ronald Fredrick's cut is getting worse. Fredrick swings for the body but Jah moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredrick tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jah counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fredrick's knee momentarily. Fredrick shoots in for a takedown but Jah shows good takedown defense. Fredrick backing away here, and Jah unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Jah feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fredrick's calf. Jah scores with the left hand. Fredrick knows he should have avoided that one. Jah lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Soul Jah seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jah cracks the inside of Fredrick's front leg. Look low, kick high! Jah uses the oldest trick in the book to send Fredrick tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Jah is absolutely delighted - when Fredrick wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Soul Jah! A very excited looking Soul Jah made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. The defeated Ronald Fredrick had this to say: 'I'll see you soon!!!'.
