PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Full Time Panda (ranked 3502 p4p, 156 weight class) and Peter Rasputin (ranked 3354 p4p, 152 weight class). Rasputin has chosen Indestructible-Colossus Tribute as his entrance music. Peter Rasputin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin lands a jab to Panda's midsection.
Rasputin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Panda is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Panda drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Full Time Panda has been cut.
Panda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rasputin but Rasputin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've been hearing good reports from Panda's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rasputin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Panda looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rasputin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panda seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Panda around the waist but Panda pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Panda is the winner by TKO! Panda jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
