Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Cotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aaron Campbell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Cotto! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A right-left combo lands from Campbell. Campbell stuffs the takedown. Campbell stuffs the takedown. Campbell checks the leg kick. Cotto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Campbell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cotto is looking to reverse the position. Cotto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Cotto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Cotto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Campbell is looking to work some ground and pound but Cotto has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotto wants to sweep but no luck. Campbell wants to control from the top but Cotto keeps moving. Campbell works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cotto punching from the bottom.
Campbell wants to pass to mount but Cotto is defending the position. Campbell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cotto misses with a takedown attempt and Campbell counters with a nice double leg into guard. Aaron Campbell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Cotto. Cotto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Campbell is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cotto wants to stand and escape but Campbell is having none of it. Cotto not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Campbell won't allow Cotto to pass to mount. Cotto is trying to work for a kimura but Campbell is defending well.

Cotto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Campbell sprawls well initially but Cotto persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cotto working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cotto is trying to work for a kimura but Campbell is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cotto cracks Campbell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cotto with the ground and pound from mount. Campbell takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Cotto is going olschool here, as he tries to force Campbell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Campbell shrugs it off. Cotto goes for an armbar but Campbell turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Campbell. Cotto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Campbell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cotto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cotto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cotto! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Cotto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Cotto misses with a takedown and Campbell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Campbell tries to score a body lock takedown but Cotto shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Campbell successfully pulls guard.
Cotto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cotto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cotto is pushing down on Campbell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Campbell is fighting to maintain full guard but Cotto has managed to sneak the leg through. Miguel Cotto has got the better of the ground game so far. Cotto is working for a kimura but Campbell is defending it quite comfortably.

Cotto is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Campbell is surviving well by controlling Cotto's body position as best he can. Cotto is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Campbell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cotto with shots to the head and body - Campbell looks very uncomfortable down there. Cotto has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Campbell's face.

Cotto jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Campbell manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cotto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Campbell keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Campbell is looking to regain half guard here but Cotto keeps moving and retains side control. Cotto moves into full mount! Cotto can't control as he wanted to and Campbell manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Cotto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Campbell is just riding it out for now. Cotto eventually gives up the hold.
And that's the end of the fight! Miguel Cotto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cotto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
