And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Luiz Capoia!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe looks to land a left hand but Capoia moved out of range nicely.

Sharpe has hold of one of Capoia's legs. Capoia is fighting the takedown attempt but Sharpe gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Capoia is looking for a triangle but Sharpe pushes his legs off easily.

Capoia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sharpe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sharpe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Capoia closes the distance and clinches up with Sharpe, looking for a takedown. Capoia pushes Sharpe against the cage but Sharpe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sharpe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sharpe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sharpe is landing with some decent strikes but Capoia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Capoia tries to buck Sharpe off but he can't manage it.

Capoia is looking to improve his position but Sharpe isn't that keen on the idea.
Capoia wants to hold on but Sharpe pushes him away.
Sharpe breaks from Capoia's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Capoia takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Capoia can't escape the position.

Sharpe jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Capoia manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sharpe drives through and clinches with Capoia against the cage.
