Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alec Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allen Dente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Stay. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alec Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allen Dente! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dente drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones is working an open guard so Dente takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones shoots and misses and Dente counters with a slapping leg kick. Dente lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dente connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dente was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dente decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dente has passed into half guard!
Dente decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Dente cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alec Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks to clinch and Dente makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Jones closes the distance looking to clinch and Dente counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Dente looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dente controlling the position easily from mount. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dente content just to control the position here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Allen Dente just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Dente. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dente tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dente to the ground. Dente escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dente lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dente lands with a nice combination. Jones backs away looking to recover. Dente fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Jones tries for a takedown. No joy.

and Dente counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt and Jones counters with a leg kick. Jones darts in trying to clinch and Dente counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dente rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones lands a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allen Dente dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looks like Allen Dente has been cut. Jones scores with the left hand. Dente knows he should have avoided that one. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dente paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Dente wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Jones clinches. Come on Jones - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dente is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dente just stands there and leans against the cage. Dente lands a body shot in the clinch.
Jones is trying to drag Dente to the mat but Dente just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alec Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones is trying to break free. Dente trying to land knees to the body.
Dente manages to break the clinch.
Jones shoots and misses and Dente counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Allen Dente has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by Dente.

Dente gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dente fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Dente wants to clinch and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dente's guard now. Jones lands a couple of elbows. Jones scoring with punches to the head and body. Jones trying to control but Dente is working from the bottom. Jones distracts Dente with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jones passes Dente's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dente does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dente is trying to stand.
Jones is keen to just control but Dente is a slippery customer. Dente manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dente fails in his attempt to clinch. Dente falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Dente backing up. Dente nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dente clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Dente drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Dente breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dente as he avoids it easily. Jones tries to clinch up. Dente is looking to clinch. Dente tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dente, right into the meat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dente takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dente throws a body kick the misses and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dente tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Alec Jones will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Allen Dente's cut. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jones rushes Dente and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dente pulls him back up using the underhooks. Dente wants a takedown.
Dente pushes Jones back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dente walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Allen Dente seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dente tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jones throws a series of punches but Dente moves out of range. Dente slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones connects with a single shot there. Dente tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Some bone on bone action there as Dente checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dente shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones shoots and misses so Dente counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alec Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dente stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jones scores with a punch to the head. Dente throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dente blocks a leg kick. Dente tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Dente. Dente gets slowly back to his feet. Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dente backs up against the cage.

Jones tries to clinch but Dente is having none of it. Jones avoids the head kick by Dente.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones has Dente pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dente manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Dente breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dente paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones throws a leg kick that misses. A big left from Dente misses. Jones throws a leg kick but Dente checks it. Jones looks to land a body kick but Dente moved away. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones. Dente instigates a clinch. Dente breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones has his foot on Dente's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dente works his way back into a safe position though. Dente is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dente gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting. Dente clinches with his opponent.
Dente swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dente just stands there and leans against the cage. Dente escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dente checks the leg kick. Jones throws a right and a left that Dente avoids nicely. Jones is looking to wear down Dente with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dente. Dente clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dente checks a leg kick. Jones connects with a body shot. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Dente which made him look bad. A head kick by Dente misses and Jones counters with a left to the body. Dente tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Dente dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Dente closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dente pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dente shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dente was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Allen Dente comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dente has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
