Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Simens (ranked 7777 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Frost (ranked 8381 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Simens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Frost! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simens misses with a wild combination.
Frost leaves Simens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Simens tries for a takedown but Frost sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Simens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Frost is looking to stand back up but Simens counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Frost. Frost is doing well to control the position and prevent Simens from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Frost is concentrating on defense, preventing Simens from advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simens wants to free his trapped foot but Frost is holding on for dear life with his legs. Simens gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Frost clinches with his opponent.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Frost is looking to take this one to the mat. Frost breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Frost scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Simens gets a takedown into half guard. Frost tries to kick Simens off in order to stand up. Simens Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frost is working to avoid the ground and pound but Simens connects with a decent elbow. Simens connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Frost some visible discomfort.
Simens stands up and beckons Frost to his feet. Frost swinging wildly here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Simens sprawls well. Simens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frost gets slowly back to his feet. Frost scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Simens gets full guard. Frost trying to stand up but can't free himself from Simens's guard. Simens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frost stands and steps away. Simens gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. No luck with that takedown attempt from Simens. Frost swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Simens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Simens misses with a takedown attempt and Frost counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Frost. Simens trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Simens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Simens wriggles free and stands up. Simens is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Simens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frost paws at him with a jab and circles away. Frost feints the counter takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ken Simens will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Frost avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Simens. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Simens connects with a nice short shot to Frost's temple. Frost is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Simens pulls his head out easily. Frost is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simens is trying to work for a kimura but Frost is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Simens thows a huge punch but Frost dodges it nicely.
Frost is looking for a sweep. Simens is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Frost is not content to let Simens control the position. Frost is controlling Simens's position as best he can from this difficult position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Simens moves into full mount! Frost won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Simens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frost is looking to escape. Simens is in the full mount, landing strikes. Simens dominating with strikes here. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Simens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frost is looking to escape. Frost tries to improve his position but instead Simens has taken his back! Frost covers up after that shot from Simens.
Frost is trying to stand back up. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Simens's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Ken Simens dominated that second round. That's time! Simens's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Simens lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Simens. Simens shoots for a double leg takedown but Frost sprawls well. He's pushed Simens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Frost avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Frost jumps guard and drags Simens to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Frost managing to control the position. Simens trying to control the position from guard on top but Frost is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost pulls Simens in close to his closed guard and prevents Simens from doing any damage or advancing position. Simens trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom. Frost looking for a sweep. Not yet Frost, not yet. Simens trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck for Simens with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Simens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Simens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Frost scores with a three punch combo!

Simens half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. That kick from Frost tenderised Simens's leg. Simens is trying to keep his angry face on. Frost throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simens throws a right and a left that Frost avoids nicely. Simens moves into the clinch. Frost stops a takedown attempt from Simens.
Simens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Frost has closed the distance and engaged Simens in a clinch.
Frost escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simens shoots in looking for a takedown. Frost tries to sprawl out of it but Simens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Frost shoots in for a takedown but Simens shows good takedown defense. Frost feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Simens working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost preventing the sweep. Simens keeping full guard, as Frost tries to pass. Frost is stalling in the full guard. Simens controls Frost momentarily but Frost frees himself. Mark Frost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ken Simens is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
