Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Weiss (ranked 24850 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Sanchez (ranked 6879 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Humberto Weiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Manny Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weiss takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Weiss showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Manny Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Weiss checks it well.
Sanchez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into Weiss's guard.
Weiss keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.
Sanchez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Weiss is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Weiss, up you get!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanchez trying to control from Weiss's half guard. Weiss has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Weiss is looking to sweep but instead, Sanchez has passed into half guard.
Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Weiss does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Weiss haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sanchez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Weiss misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sanchez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Sanchez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Weiss is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Weiss connects with a nice short shot to Sanchez's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weiss wants to stand but Sanchez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez wants to control but Weiss is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Weiss gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Sanchez forces Weiss back against the cage and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manny Sanchez dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sanchez drives through with a takedown into Weiss's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sanchez wants to stand and escape but instead Weiss has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Weiss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Weiss working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sanchez's head.

Sanchez controls Weiss momentarily but Weiss frees himself.
Weiss throwing strikes but missing.

Weiss gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Sanchez rushes Weiss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Weiss wants the takedown. Sanchez is fighting it off but Weiss persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sanchez's guard against the cage.

Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Weiss is in close to Sanchez's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Weiss throws a strike but Sanchez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sanchez is standing up over Weiss. Weiss looks to escape but Sanchez dives into side control.

Weiss defending against the ground and pound.
Sanchez wants to control but Weiss is keeping him busy.
Weiss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanchez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Weiss is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

Sanchez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Weiss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanchez wants to control but Weiss is keeping him busy.

Sanchez stands up.
Manny Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sanchez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Weiss wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sanchez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sanchez manages to end up in side control.
Weiss is looking to reverse the position.

Sanchez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Weiss is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

Sanchez wants to take a breather but Weiss manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sanchez.

Sanchez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weiss keeps working.
Weiss wants to get back to his feet.

Weiss throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Sanchez working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Weiss's thigh. Weiss counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Weiss working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Weiss keeps moving.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sanchez stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Weiss has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Sanchez manages to get his head free but now Weiss has transitioned to an armbar! Sanchez grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Weiss! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Humberto Weiss!
