Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenny Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Morales!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales gets tackled into the cage by Henry. Henry maintains the clinch.
Morales looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Morales tries for a takedown. No joy.
A knee to the head by Henry.
Henry controlling the action here for a moment.
Morales swings wildly with an uppercut but Henry uses good head movement to avoid it.
Morales looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Morales tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morales tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Henry just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lenny Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Morales.
Henry lands a right hand.
Henry digs a right hand underneath Morales's ribcage. Morales let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Henry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Henry shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Morales is trying to escape back to his feet but Henry uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Henry has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Henry clinches up against the cage.
Henry lands a hook to the side of the head.
Henry misses with an elbow strike.
Morales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A short body shot lands from Henry as the two fighters clinch.

Henry gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Henry works on Morales's body with a couple of short punches.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Henry lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Morales is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Henry lands an elbow just above Morales 's eye.
Morales takes a knee right on the jaw!
Morales tries for a takedown but Henry manages to get underhooks.

Henry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Morales doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Henry counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Morales wants to stand back up but Henry manages to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morales is letting Henry control him for a moment.

Henry decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Henry fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Henry clinches with his opponent.
Henry works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Henry stalls.
Henry stalling in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knees in the clinch landing for Henry.
Morales misses with an elbow strike.
Henry scores with a nice hook to the head.
Henry lands a body shot.

Henry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Henry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henry lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Henry controlling from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lenny Henry dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Henry closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morales did well to prevent Henry getting side control.
Henry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Morales can do to turn this around?

Henry stands up and beckons Morales to join him on the feet.

Henry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Morales to his feet.

Morales clinches up with Henry and pushes him back against the cage.
Henry gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Morales is breathing heavily.

Henry lands a left hand.


Morales is rocked!

Henry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Morales is still on wobbly legs! Can Henry finish him?

Henry closes the distance looking for a takedown. Morales stuffs it but Henry still has hold of him. Henry picks Morales up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Henry slams Morales to the floor and that's really hurt Morales - he doesn't know where he is! Henry throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lenny Henry!
