Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jansen Eriksen (ranked 3121 p4p, 416 weight class) and Jesse Kilpatrick (ranked 2791 p4p, 388 weight class). Eriksen comes to the ring accompanied by Black Sabbath - Iron Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jansen Eriksen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kilpatrick looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kilpatrick postures up in Eriksen's guard and throws a big left but Eriksen blocks it.
Eriksen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kilpatrick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kilpatrick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Eriksen's guard.
Eriksen is looking for a sweep. Kilpatrick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kilpatrick looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eriksen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kilpatrick winds up and cracks Eriksen with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kilpatrick throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nice strikes from Kilpatrick there.
Kilpatrick is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kilpatrick throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kilpatrick thows a huge punch but Eriksen dodges it nicely.
Eriksen seems to have got his legs back now.
Kilpatrick is nestled in close to Eriksen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Kilpatrick has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
