Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomy Di Pietro (ranked 2049 p4p, 303 weight class) and Lando Nallo (ranked 3235 p4p, 436 weight class). Nallo has chosen Fort Battle - Trevor Jones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tomy Di Pietro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tomy Di Pietro! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lando Nallo! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Di Pietro feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nallo's calf. Nallo gets in close and instigates a clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nallo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Di Pietro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nallo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nallo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Di Pietro struggling a bit here. Nallo trying to control the position but Di Pietro is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nallo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Di Pietro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A lull in the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nallo wants to control but Di Pietro is keeping him busy. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Nallo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Di Pietro tries to bench press Nallo off him but Nallo keeps the position. Di Pietro is trying to control Nallo's posture but Nallo avoids it. Di Pietro is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nallo asserts his dominance and retains side control. Nallo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nallo tries to move to mount but Di Pietro blocks the move with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nallo has an Americana. Di Pietro didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nallo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nallo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Lando Nallo! Lando Nallo is the new light heavyweight champion! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Lando Nallo made sure he mentioned Dr. Dogood (160 quality for $135), along with how happy he was to win his fight.
