Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Synyx Dall (ranked 513 p4p, 61 weight class) and Dante Esposito (ranked 750 p4p, 81 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In Scarlet Storm. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Esposito ! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dall avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Dall pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Esposito on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dall. Dall obviously looking to wear him down.

Esposito tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dall feinted with a counter takedown. Dall takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Dall tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Esposito throws a hook but Dall blocks it. Dall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Esposito sprawls and moves away. Esposito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dall changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Esposito has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Esposito blocks a leg kick. Esposito takes a swing at Dall's ribcage but misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dall fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Esposito is out of range. Dall throws a jab but it's blocked by Esposito . Esposito with a nice cross.

Synyx Dall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dall ducks under a wild hook from Esposito . Dall dodges the punch combination from Esposito .
Dall takes one on the button. Dall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Esposito manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Esposito is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dall looking to pass the guard. Esposito pulls Dall in close to prevent any damage. Dall wants to control from the top but Esposito keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Esposito 's guard. Dall is keen to just control but Esposito is a slippery customer. Esposito wants to get back to full guard. Esposito gets back to full guard.
Esposito is pulling down on Dall's head to control his posture. Dall's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dall scores with a punch to the head. Dall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Esposito has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Esposito cracks Dall with a good jab. Nice shot lands for Esposito . Dall connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Dall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Esposito is looking to land body kicks. An inside leg kick from Dall misses. Dall throws a jab when Esposito was well out of range. Dall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Esposito .
Dall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Esposito sprawls and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Esposito moves out of range of the body kick. Good exchange - Dall coming out on top. A big left from Esposito misses. Dall has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Esposito finds it's way round the side to connect with Dall's head. Dall explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Esposito pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dall swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Esposito . Dall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Esposito backs up against the cage.
Dall throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A low kick from Dall is predictable there and Esposito counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Esposito connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dall's hands. Esposito takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Dall lands a really nice looking cross but Esposito seems unphased.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Synyx Dall will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Esposito loads up on a big right hand but Dall slips the punch. Synyx Dall is winning the standup battle so far. Dall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Esposito is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Dall looks to throw the jab but Esposito is out of range. Esposito walks into a left hand. Dall lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dall walks into a straight right hand from Esposito . Dall misses with an uppercut. Esposito saw that one coming. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dall.
Dall connects with a nice looking jab.
A jab from Dall misses. Esposito shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Dall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Esposito . Dall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Esposito is looking for a sweep. Dall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Esposito is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dall is looking for a kimura but Esposito is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage. Dall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dall prevents Esposito from improving his position. Esposito is positioning himself well to prevent Dall advancing to mount. Dall moves into full mount! Esposito won't be happy about that! Esposito is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esposito tries to hold on but Dall postures up. Dall looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Esposito is squirming around, avoiding Dall's attempts to control the action. Esposito wants to hold on but Dall pushes him away. Dall has isolated one of Esposito 's arms. Esposito looking to fight him off but Dall twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
