Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jax Thomas (ranked 55 p4p, 8 weight class) and Gosha Lopez (ranked 243 p4p, 27 weight class). Thomas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Killing is my business, and business is good! - Megadeth. Lopez has chosen Sho Z-pod duba as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gosha Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas misses the shot to the body.
Thomas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Thomas pushes Lopez back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A head punch on the inside from Thomas fails to land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lopez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Thomas digs a right hand into Lopez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lopez's gas tank.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lopez.

Thomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lopez manages to get himself to full guard.
Lopez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Thomas has picked Lopez up and slammed him! Lopez can't keep hold of the triangle and Thomas manages to pass to side control!
Thomas works to advance to full mount. Lopez defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Lopez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lopez is in a horrible position here. Thomas smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Thomas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lopez tries to lock up and control but Thomas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lopez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Thomas.
Lopez gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas tries to pass to full mount but Lopez defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lopez works his way to full guard. Good work.

Lopez throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Thomas escapes and throws Lopez's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Lopez is trying to get back to half guard.
Thomas slows the pace down.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Thomas misses with the ground and pound.
Lopez looks to move to half guard but instead Thomas has passed into mount! Damn!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Thomas unloads with some shots from mount but Lopez bucks and avoids them well.
Lopez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Thomas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jax Thomas dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Thomas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomas walks into a straight right hand from Lopez.
Thomas lands with a cross.
Thomas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lopez can do to turn this around?
Lopez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lopez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas.
Lopez steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Thomas.
Lopez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lopez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lopez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Lopez counters with a nice body shot.
Nice takedown defense from Thomas. No joy for Lopez on that attempt.
Lopez lands with a nice body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thomas throws a combination. Lopez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Thomas is looking to wear down Lopez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Lopez ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Lopez tries to counter by closing the distance.
Thomas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lopez manages to avoid it.
Lopez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Thomas cracks Lopez with an open hand slap.
Lopez is rocked!
Lopez instigates a clinch.
Lopez is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him?
Thomas lands a shot to the body.
Lopez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thomas walks away with a smile on his face. Lopez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lopez looks up at the clock. Bad move! Thomas lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lopez. Thomas pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jax Thomas!

An out of breath Jax Thomas thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
