Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ducharme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryck St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patryck St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

St Pierre decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ducharme manages to get to full guard.

St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ducharme swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ducharme gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
St Pierre wants to control from the top but Ducharme keeps moving.

Ducharme is looking for a sweep. St Pierre is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ducharme wants to get back to his feet.
Ducharme wants to control but St Pierre is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ducharme is not content to let St Pierre control the position.
St Pierre looks gassed!
St Pierre wants to stand but Ducharme has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ducharme tries to clinch but St Pierre moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by St Pierre or perhaps it was just good defense by Ducharme which made him look bad.

Ducharme pushes St Pierre up against the cage in a clinch.
St Pierre tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ducharme smiles and moves away.
Steve Ducharme has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patryck St Pierre.

Ducharme closes the distance and clinches.
Ducharme is trying to break the clinch but St Pierre has him pressed against the cage.

Ducharme escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ducharme tries to pull guard but St Pierre holds him up against the cage and eventually Ducharme drops back down to his feet.
St Pierre has had enough of the clinch but Ducharme keeps him there for the moment.

St Pierre jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ducharme walks away with a smile on his face. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
St Pierre tries to clinch up but Ducharme circles away and keeps his distance.
St Pierre explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

St Pierre fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ducharme lands with a kick to the temple. St Pierre shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ducharme looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? St Pierre is fending him off so far but Ducharme persists. Nope, St Pierre circles away and we're back to standing.

Ducharme is trying to control but can't.
St Pierre looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
St Pierre winds up and cracks Ducharme with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
St Pierre is tying to control. Ducharme wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ducharme really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

St Pierre is looking for a kimura but Ducharme is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for St Pierre to get the leverage.

St Pierre is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

St Pierre is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ducharme scores with a couple of nice shots.
St Pierre is refusing to be controlled, as Ducharme sits in half guard.

Ducharme content to control rather than advance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

St Pierre is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Ducharme pulls his head out easily.

St Pierre darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ducharme is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Ducharme will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

St Pierre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and St Pierre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Patryck St Pierre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
