Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esmael Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Star looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali shoots for a double leg takedown but Star sprawls well. He's pushed Ali's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ali ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ali no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ali pushes Star off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ali is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Star can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ali decides to return to a standing position.
Esmael Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Star closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ali is looking to regain half guard here but Star keeps moving and retains side control.

Esmael Ali showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
