Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Brian Hardy (ranked 2237 p4p, 261 weight class) and Luiz Araujo (ranked 3165 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Araujo's choice of entrance music: Who Shot Ya?. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Brian Hardy! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 7 losses; Luiz Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hardy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Araujo on his heels. He'll look to pass Araujo's guard now, I'm sure.

Hardy has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Araujo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Hardy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Araujo stacks Hardy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Araujo!

Hardy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Araujo escapes and throws Hardy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Araujo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hardy, who protects the arm well.

Araujo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hardy controls Araujo momentarily but Araujo frees himself.

Araujo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Araujo drops back looking for a leg! Hardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardy manages to kick Araujo off! Araujo jumps back into Hardy's guard.
Hardy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Araujo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hardy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Araujo has managed to get both his arms back between Hardy's legs - danger averted.

Araujo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hardy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hardy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hardy!

Hardy is working for a kimura but Araujo is defending it quite comfortably.
