Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Alexandre (ranked 2028 p4p, 230 weight class) and Gideon De Bruin (ranked 3785 p4p, 380 weight class). Gideon De Bruin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Bruin with a lazy takedown attempt
and Alexandre counters with a single leg into guard. De Bruin didn't expect that.
De Bruin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Alexandre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Alexandre is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

De Bruin is in trouble now - Alexandre has advanced to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alexandre is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Bruin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

De Bruin has given up his back here. Will Alexandre look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Alexandre has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. De Bruin is defending well but eventually Alexandre manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! De Bruin has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
