The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slamenkov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maximus is fending him off so far but Slamenkov persists. Nope, Maximus circles away and we're back to standing.
Maximus scores with a jab to the head.
Maximus drops Slamenkov with a beautiful combination! Slamenkov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Maximus is looking for the KO!
It looks like Vladamir Slamenkov has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Slamenkov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Slamenkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maximus throws a shot to the body.
Maximus cracks Slamenkov with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Slamenkov falls to his knees and Maximus doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brutus Maximus!
