The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters tries to close the distance and clinch but Barreto Neto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barreto Neto stuffs the takedown attempt from Masters. Masters gets slowly back to his feet. Masters closes the distance and clinches up with Barreto Neto, looking for a takedown. Masters pushes Barreto Neto against the cage but Barreto Neto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Masters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ricardo Barreto Neto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Masters. Barreto Neto lands a jab-cross combination. He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Masters breaks from Barreto Neto's wrist control and lands an elbow. Masters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Barreto Neto is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Masters walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Barreto Neto wants to clinch and Masters counters with a shoot takedown. Barreto Neto fights it but they end up in guard. Barreto Neto keeping moving, preventing Masters from controlling successfully. Barreto Neto pushes Masters off and gets back to his feet.

Masters shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Masters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barreto Neto as he avoids it easily. Barreto Neto moves into the clinch. Masters ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Masters no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Barreto Neto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Masters, up you get! Barreto Neto throws a sloppy head kick and Masters moves out of range easily. Masters fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Barreto Neto tries a head kick but it misses.
Masters scores a takedown into full mount! Barreto Neto wants to try and get back to his feet. Masters has control of Barreto Neto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Barreto Neto regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Barreto Neto has his hands clasped together but Masters breaks the hold and Barreto Neto is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Masters!
