Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Brekker (ranked 22740 p4p, 646 weight class) and Nick Dick (ranked 5177 p4p, 461 weight class). Andrew Brekker had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dick is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brekker's half guard.

Brekker makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Andrew Brekker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brekker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Dick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dick keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brekker's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dick chips away with some ground and pound.
Dick content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dick slips nicely into half guard.
Dick works his way into full mount!

Dick is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Brekker is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Brekker flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Dick anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Brekker and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Dick slips an arm under Brekker chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Dick has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Dick is squeezing on Brekker like an anaconda would it's prey. Brekker fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nick Dick!
Nick Dick tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
