Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John C Reilly (ranked 7933 p4p, 708 weight class) and Nig Nig (ranked 7285 p4p, 687 weight class). Reilly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is John C. Reilly Funniest Moments. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John C Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nig Nig!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nig avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Reilly lands with a shot to the body.

Nig shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nig was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reilly has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Reilly is trying to control Nig's posture but Nig avoids it.
Reilly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nig had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reilly defends it easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reilly is on top in guard.

Nig trying to strike off his back.
Nig is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Reilly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reilly is really struggling to control Nig but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nig has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reilly is working away from the top position though.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Reilly is just content to waste time from the top position. Nig takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Nig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nig is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Nig controls Reilly momentarily but Reilly frees himself.
Reilly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that John C Reilly will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nig tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reilly knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nig lands a nice short elbow.
