Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gan Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Muscat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muscat has chosen ultimate fighter song as his entrance music. Trent Muscat is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gan Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Muscat! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green throws a series of punches but Muscat moves out of range. Green changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Muscat looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Muscat tries to improve position but can't. Green misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Muscat is not content to let Green control the position. Muscat is trying to get back to half guard. Green wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Muscat, who protects the arm well. Muscat is trying to get back to half guard. Green looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Muscat is avoiding damage well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green trying to control the action but Muscat is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Muscat drives through with a takedown into guard. Muscat wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position. Muscat preventing the sweep. Green is breathing heavily. Green wants to stand and escape but Muscat is having none of it. Muscat wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving. Muscat decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Green, up you get! Muscat moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off. Muscat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Green counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muscat uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gan Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Muscat fails with an attempt to clinch.
Muscat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Muscat trying to control the position but Green is working away. Muscat stands up and we're back to a striking position. Muscat shoots for a double leg takedown but Green sprawls well. He's pushed Muscat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Green swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Green wants to clinch but Muscat slips to the side and Muscat counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green missing with punches from the bottom.
Muscat tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Green flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Green tries to get to full guard but Muscat has control of the leg. Green trying to control from the bottom.
Muscat seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Muscat wants to free his trapped foot but Green is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Green is refusing to be controlled, as Muscat sits in half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Muscat scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee asks Muscat politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Muscat prefers to stall for the moment though. Muscat tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Muscat looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green tries to buck Muscat off but Muscat is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trent Muscat dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Muscat shoots in and drives through. Green sprawls well. Green wants to clinch and Muscat counters by clinching up. Muscat is pressed up against the cage. Green has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Muscat down to the mat. Muscat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Muscat shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense. Muscat shoots in and drives through. Green sprawls well. Gan Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Muscat. Green gets a takedown into half guard. Green seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Muscat is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Muscat sees it coming and defends easily. Muscat gets full guard. Green looking to sit in guard and control but Muscat gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Muscat showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Green throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Green throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Muscat content to stall in guard here. Muscat stopping the sweep attempt from Green. Muscat working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Green's head. Muscat slips nicely into half guard. Green wants to improve his position but Muscat is controlling well.
Trent Muscat has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muscat content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Green looking for subs from the bottom but Muscat mounts him! Green has given up his back.
Green trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Muscat keeps control of the position as Green tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Muscat is not going to allow Green to sit and survive in this position. Muscat trying to control momentarily.
Muscat connects with a big shot to the side of Green's head.
Muscat is punishing Green with strikes - can he finish him?! Muscat biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Green prevents Muscat from getting a body triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trent Muscat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Muscat struggling a bit here. Muscat throws Green to one side and escapes! Muscat fails with the takedown and Green counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Muscat's guard now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Muscat can't keep his opponent in guard - Green advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Green is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Muscat has managed to free his arm - good work. Muscat regains full guard. Nicely done. Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Muscat keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. Green won't allow Muscat to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Green working some strikes from top position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Muscat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Green is fending him off so far but Muscat persists. Nope, Green circles away and we're back to standing. Green with a lazy takedown attempt and Muscat moves into the clinch. Muscat working aggressively here.
Muscat breaks the clinch.
Muscat doesn't succeed with the takedown and Green counters with a shoot takedown. Muscat fights it but they end up in guard. Gan Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Muscat. Muscat is working an open guard so Green takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Muscat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Green throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Muscat wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muscat trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green tries to land a sweep but no joy. Green is striking from the bottom but Muscat uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Green scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Muscat manages to mount him!
Green takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Green wants to hold on but Muscat pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Green is working to get back to half guard.
Green tries to lock up and control but Muscat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Muscat manages to capitalize on a mistake by Green to take his back! Green wants to escape the position.
Will Muscat go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Green tries to break free.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green manages to stand up with Muscat still on his back. Eventually Muscat drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Gan Green has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Trent Muscat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Green gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Muscat counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that's the end of the fight! Gan Green showed his dominance in that final round. I think Muscat has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
